Born on December 22, 1988 in Barbados, Nurse has made a huge jump up the ranks. A year ago he was not even in the Barbados team, but brilliant bowling in the Caribbean Twenty20 tournaments has seen him breaking into the West Indies side which he puts down to hard work and self belief.

Nurse has played a couple of T20 Internationals for West Indies against the visiting Pakistan and the Indian team without any success. He was selected for the 2-match T20 series in England, but an untimely injury put paid to his chances. Nurse has also been a representative of the West Indies 'A' side.

He shone as a specialist off-break bowler in a Caribbean T20 match against Trinidad & Tobago snapping up excellent figures of 5/26.

Nurse is a vital component of the Barbados attack, performing the dual role of prising out wickets while simultaneously squeezing the flow of runs. As far as the international arena is concerned, Nurse has fallen behind with Narine and Badree bedding into the spin department.
